UK TRI Awards and Global TRI Awards 2022 shortlists revealed

Back for its 15th edition, among those competing at the TRI Awards include Howard Kennedy, PwC, Chamberlain & Co and Manolete Partners. Taking place on 8 December at the Hilton Bankside in London, the event will present the industry with an opportunity to reflect on the challenges faced, the customers supported and the opportunities seized in the turnaround, restructuring and insolvency industry.  

Across the 23-strong award programme, we will be celebrating the industry’s up-and-coming figures through the Rising Star Award, while also rewarding those who best promote inclusion through the TRI Company Award for Diversity and Inclusion, sponsored by Gordon Brothers. 

We also reflect on the best company rescues, restructurings and turnarounds over the course of the past year through awards such as Turnaround of the Year, Corporate Rescue of the Year (Large), and Corporate

Restructuring Firm of the Year - 11 or more licensed appointment-taking Insolvency Practitioners.

The inaugural Global TRI Awards, meanwhile, will see the likes of EY-Parthenon, Kirkland & Ellis, Alvarez & Marsal and Freshfields competing for top honours. The awards will reward leading TRI professionals across four jurisdictions, these being the Americas, the Asia-Pacific region, Europe and the UK, and the Middle East and North Africa.  

Those in attendance will be entertained by stand-up comedian Mark Watson. A former member of the University of Cambridge’s famous Footlights comedy troupe, he has made guest appearances on the likes of Mock the Week, Have I Got News for You and QI – as well as competing in series five of the BAFTA award-winning show Taskmaster, finishing joint second.

The awards will follow this year’s TRI Conference, supported by our headline sponsor Manolete Partners. The event will explore how to stay on top of business liquidity, investigate the future of the profession and ask whether splitting functions are the way forward.
