Mr Raihan Shaikh-Khaleel

Raihan spent 6 years as a finance and restructuring lawyer at Shearman& Sterling,  then after 10 years at King Street Capital, he then founded  Swinton Advisors in 2019. 

Swinton specializes in advising investment funds and family offices, with respect to their distressed debt and special situation investments in the EMEA regions.  Swinton also provide litigation and claims management services.  Recent deals include Abraaj, Ahab, Bin Laden,  NMC and Smile.  

Raihan is frequently appointed to boards in CRO/CIO type roles in distressed companies on behalf of hedge funds and PE houses to help shape and implement the restructuring : Raihan was the restructuring advisor on Smile Telecoms and was appointed to its board as the restructuring implementation  person by the sponsor . He is currently (amongst other roles) the chair of the restructuring committee on NMC and an active director of its board.
